It's time to put your names on the list, several of us are thinking about taking our boats to Western Australia for the World Championships in 2015, this looks like being a fantastic event, the location is fantastic, windy, sunny, and a big bay to sail in, plus when the sailing is done, you could checkout the rest of WA.

I know we want to go, and Roger and Liz, I've had interest from a few at Whitstable and a couple others, but now is the time to start putting things together.

It will cost around 2k to get the boats there and back, this is based on a 20ft container and five boats, if we can get more than five then we can reduce the costs by using a 40ft high cube and up to nine boats.

Places are on a first come basis, so don't miss out get your name on the list NOW.

Hi Jeremy, Is that £2,000 per boat or the whole container ?

I've heard a rumour over here that we could be looking at a Worlds with 100+ boats. Australian states have been confirming numbers for containers which put the entries already up at a minimum of 70 Australian boats, plus those from overseas this could be the worlds that you don't want to miss.

Busselton sounds like a beautiful place. Launching off a wide beach, different breezes and a real holiday destination in terms of whats available at the town. This means that if you are bringing a family there will be plenty for them to do.

The locals organising the event have been very organised so far which also bodes well for the event.

A bonus for UK boats is that the pound is recovering compared to the AUS Dollar (or is it the AUS dollar is struggling compared to the UK Pound?!) so it works out the best exchange rate wise that it has been for the past 5 years.

It would be great to see more UK boats over here for Busselton. There are already a few competing who would love the company!

Hello all,

I realise that a number of you have arranged Charter boats with NB Sailsports, but if anyone is still seeking a charter boat for the 2015 Tasar Worlds some additional boats have become available.

Tasar 2673 - Available on launching trolley - RCB's fitted - need to bring sails - Cost $2000 + $600 Damage deposit + insurance - Contact Kayne Binks for details bungarrateamracing@gmail.com

In additon the Americans have additional space in their container, and are able to fill the space with charter boats - Cost would be in the order of $2200 - Contact Anthony Boscolo abosail@gmail.com

Additionally, there are some persons who have accommodation that is excess to their requirements - See below for details.

Spare room in a rental house in Busselton (WA Tasar Sailor has a spare room for sublet) - Contact Ian James for details imj@bgc.com.au
