For those who haven't been to porthpean, I took a little footage whilst sailing last weekend,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6itx4k0wcDo&feature=youtube_gdata_player - gbr2833 movie  (see below)I've not edited it so it a little boring but it gives an idea of what club sailing is like at porthpean unfortunately only a few tasars were out.

Weather is looking good for this weekend, should have said the WIND is looking great for the weekend, at the moment its 15kts NW on sat and 13kts WNW for Sunday, wind and a flat sea.
There is a chance of a little rain on the Saturday but it doesnt get much better than this, OK perhaps a little more sun...

Anyone wanting to tuneup before the racing starts at 2pm, from 10:30 we can do a little training, the video will be at the ready.

Great event with first class racing.  Excellent courses set by the Nationals Race Officer; proving just how good a venue Porthpean is for a Nationals, where local knowledge is not a major factor!

Great weekend, thanks to all the Porthpean folk involved in the organisation.
Just got to persuade Mrs Lawton that a bit of wind is good for her !
Neil, you missed a great weekend, especially sunday...it was an ideal off shore breeze for you and Ann.

Great weekend, and as we stayed on to work and get a bit more sailing and surf we want and must add our thanks to everyone in the club for their hospitality and generoisity over the next two weeks.

Porthpean Sailing Club has great members, great sailing and is in a great location. To everyone there thanks you very much, especial thanks to Jeremy for all the tips on faster sailing and to Jeremy, Suzanne, lionel and Sue (Rigby) for being such a great hosts. It was also great to be "on set" for what on past peformaces should to be another great British movie.

Have a great Nationals.  John Tripp

Lionel wrote a report on the event and it is on Y and Y at the link below
